This two day course is designed to teach how to confidently use your dedicated Garmin GPS device in a hill walking and mountaineering context.

Who’s it for

This course is for those who can read a map and use a compass and have the necessary skills to operate safely in the hills & mountains, see our Hill Walking & Mountain Walking courses if needed.

This is a perfect follow on from our Introduction to GPS course

  • The different maps available for your device.
  • How to set up your Garmin GPS correctly.
  • Understand all the devices buttons and menu functions.
  • How to use Garmins Basecamp software & sharing routes (courses) from other platforms such as Outdoor Active.
