Perfect for ML trainees looking to develop their personal experience and understanding of steep ground in preparation for assessment or existing Mountain Leaders that want a refresher on this topic. This course compliments our ML Ropework course and other Mountain Leader preparation courses.
What’s included
- Route finding.
- Exploring the line between “steep ground” and grade 1 scrambling terrain and how to recognise the difference.
- Build experience and confidence on Grade 1 terrain.
- Using ML rope skills in the context of a Mountain Journey.
- Safeguarding yourself in descent using the rope.
- Emergency procedures.
- Navigation on steep ground.
